The Schools mission is to provide a space to promote a collectively responsible eco- Earth based Spiritual awareness of Shamanic healing.The philosophy of Dermots Rainbow teachings are simple .The Rainbow for us represents the different cultures races and spiritual beliefs of the world all coming together in harmony.Its only when the different colours  flow side by side do we get the beautiful pattern woven by the rainbow.In doing so we can all show flexibility as the Rainbow bends to facilitate the other colours each side of it to respectfully support the whole.When this is achieved enlightenment will come to the planet.This will create a beautiful pattern of colour representing the 7  main chakras of spiritual awareness all in balance.When this vision is held it has the power to raise consciousness beyond our little human ego ridden minds. In our school we have adopted a Universal approach to the instruction and  work we carry out here.

 We honour  and respect that there are many different approaches to this work. By recognizing this  we  respectfully teach a Universal approach using many diffrent songs chants and dances from around the Global Village that we have become.We believe that the world is at a time of embracing the global Rainbow village Vision that we are all fast becoming a part of.
This is how the planet will survive for the coming generatons of our children.
In truth we have always been connected to each other via the Creator .Its just that religion has over the years preached and taught  in schools a philosophy that encourages, promotes and demands separateness disconnection and disharmony instead of encouraging connection,support,  peace and harmony. Our school is dedicated to helping you  develop spiritually ,physically, socially, and emotionally.The process is called Soul Integration Healing and has been developed by our schools founder Dermot O'Hara.

Shamanism is not a religion it is an ancient belief system that respects all others and works to create harmony between all within this reality known to us as creation.The Rainbow Shamans knows that all things are connnected by a sacred power and that this power to create lies within us all.There are many different names given to this power as there are different religious belief systems here within out Human perception of creation on Mother Earth.
 
The Shamans belief of creation is exactly the same as the Christian belief that God is the Creator of this World.In the Shamans mind all things come from the Creator this is the central theme of Shamanism.Hence  shamans have always known and taught that we have the power to create the reality we experience.This has never beeen a secret to us on the path.It is the Shamans role within all communities to promote harmony and peace between all the different beliefs and traditions by teaching respect.Teaching respect for others and their right to be of a different traditional cultural or religious belief is the basis for peace.In this way shamanism teaches us all to grow in peace love and harmony on Mother Earth
 
We begin to awaken and empower ourselves when we realise that we are the God and Goddess and that our connection to the web of life is within us.This is the Shamanic way of Initation to the Ancient wisdom taugh by our Ancestors.  Dermot  is  the founder and Spritual Director of The Celtic Rainbow School of Shamans in Glencree. He has been caring in his role as Healer Teacher and Shaman  for over twentyyears.

Dermot is a certified  Clinical Hypnotherpist working from his practice in Clondalkin,Dublin Over the past 25 years he has worked with many Indigenious healers in Canada and the USA developing his skills.He has been  recognized for his work by the Indigenious Education Institute in the US  and is registerd with them as their Inernational Advisor.
 
Dermot Founded the Celtic Rainbow School of Shamans in 2001 .Through the school  Dermot introduces people to a place of balance and harmony within themselves.This balance is promoted by having a more eco friendly relationship with the  planets we live upon.

Dermots Rainbow Philosophy
I believe that we are all connected by the web of life spun by the Universe. To day Quantun Science is now finally admitting that there is something else out there that holds everything together. I call this  the Gods Glue.To the Druids its called the Awen. The First Nations Medicine people of America call it the Web of life  or Sacred Hoop.Eastern teachers call  it the Chi.

It can also be described as Love. We all need love, attention, and nurturing. I believe that by holding this space for people to gather in a harmoniously balanced environment enhances their ability to access this love connection of Mind Body and Spirit. This allows us to explore, experience, integrate, heal and therefore grow in self awareness.We can all learn from each other and our past history but we need not be victims of it.
 
At Rainbow School we encourage everyone to  have a  hands-on learning experiences. This fosters  Inner Peace, Personal growth and Spritual awareness. I believe that positive reinforcement is important  to develop self-esteem and ultimately a positive life experience for all. We all need an environment that supports free expression and stimulates learning development and personal growth. Most importantly, I believe that we  need to have fun! With this in mind we regularily hold drumming and dance evenings, stress busting  days and get-away weekends.

At Rainbow School of Shamans we recognize that many have a difficult schedule as parents workers etc. and time is even more difficult to find. To provide ongoing support for our participants we offer regular City Centre Drum Circles.  Here we provide a drop in support group for anyone wishing to continue further personal development and positive growth.
